The UCLA Department of Art History is thrilled to present, “Archival Challenges and Strategies Seminar”, organized by Professor Zirwat Chowdhury. The event will feature two guest speakers.

Naveena Naqvi, Assistant Professor for the Department of Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia, will be delivering a lecture entitled, “The Marginal Archive and the Probable Event: Reflections on an Imperial Twilight Zone”.

Yuthika Sharma, Assistant Professor for the Department of Art History at Northwestern University, will be delivering a lecture entitled, “Qalam as Archive: Canonizing Mughal painting in Company India”.

The seminar will take place on May 2, 2024 at 1 PM in Dodd 275. All are welcome to attend.
