It is with great pride that the UCLA Art History Department presents the 2024 Gretchen Taylor Millson Lecture with featured speaker Kellie Jones!
Professor Jones, Hans Hofmann Professor of Modern Art, Art History & Archeology, and Chair, African American & African Diaspora Studies at Columbia University will be delivering a captivating talk entitled, “Suzanne Jackson: Ecologies of Abstraction”:
The presentation considers the creative practice of painter, poet, and dancer Suzanne Jackson and its imbrication in ecocritical, feminist, and Black arts discourses from the 1960s to the present.
This annual event will be held at the Luskin Conference Center on Monday, May 6th, at 5 PM.
