HOW TO HELP
Supporting the UCLA
Department of Art History
Building on a long tradition of intellectual innovation, the Department of Art History at UCLA endorses an interdisciplinary and intercultural approach to art history of all periods and places. By thinking across current categories and boundaries and critically interrogating art history itself, our students are encouraged to question the canon, to rethink the relationships between margins and centers, and to practice a socially and politically responsible art history.
It is through the support of generous donors, alumni, and friends of the Department that we are able to consistently distinguish the department as a leader in the field, providing the best educational experience for our students and producing innovative new research, publications, and programming.
As the University continues to sustain budget cuts and student fees rise, contributions to our discretionary fund are of vital importance. Your support provides funding for student and faculty research, graduate fellowships, seminar and lecture programs, and library acquisitions. Help build key linkages among scholars, collectors, curators, artists, and the public by contributing to the Art History Chair’s Resource Fund.
